I wanted to talk to you today about an interesting topic called food sensitivities.
Not very many people know about food sensitivities or if they have heard of it, they assume it’s the same thing as a food allergy and they are really not the same thing.
Food allergies and food sensitivities are different chemical responses and the reason I would like to talk to you about food sensitivities is that they are really almost always behind “mystery illness”.
We get a lot of patients here for acupuncture who are seeking help resolving a complex, many years-long problem of many different kinds of symptoms: headaches, fatigue, aches, mental fog, rashes, bouts of depressions or anxiety that they’ve never have before.
So the reason that these kind of symptoms are going to accumulate over time is because you are probably eating foods that you think are healthy for you or that are fine to eat but actually toxic for you. And you have been eating them for most of your life.
So with this blood test though Immunolabs for food sensitivities we’re able to identify exactly which are your problem foods and you would be extremely surprised by the kinds of lists that we see of problem foods: eggs, oranges, spinach, ginger, garlic, thyme, nutmeg… You can really never guess which is going to be the problem food for you.
I can tell you I was having chronic migraines for years. Doctors could not find what was wrong, really couldn’t find anything that was helping. I took this blood test I found that had 13 problem foods. I stopped eating those foods and I’ve never had another migraine.
I’m a major, major believer in this test and when you have the right information about how to eat exactly for your body, your body starts to work like a machine. You would not believe the weight you start to drop, the mental clarity that comes from not poisoning yourself every day, your quality of sleep, your mood, your energy… It all improves dramatically once you are eating the way your body needs you to eat.
So if you’re interested in learning more about food sensitivities and what might be behind your “mystery illness”, please do give us a call. I’d love to talk with you.
